I have this oil consumption issue for a while and i tried to minimize the oil consumption by replacing PVC, Distributor O-ring, Vtec filter, Valve cover gasket so basically fixed all the leaks. The engine still consume about 1 litre of oil every 1000 miles (stock B16A engine). I have pull the cylinder head out and took some pictures, i wonder from the pictures below. Any idea as to where the oil consumed??

sounds like your oil control rings she it burning a decent amount

 

Should have done a leak down test prior to pulling the head, that way you could have known what was wrong and where oil was passing through.

has the motor been apart/head gasket changed before? looks like there's copper spray on the head but not the block deck

 

I had the head gasket changed once, it was replaced by 2 layer Spoon head gasket. I don't know about the copper spray, maybe my mechanic spray it on last time.

 

Rebuild time. Looks like your oil control rings are done.
