Default honda-boy's Belgian EG build

Hey guys,

Guess I'll introduce myself and post up my project since I've been reading here for quite some time now.

My name is Christoph, I'm from Belgium and working on my eg.

I bought the car as a shell back in january of this year, bought it in holland and the previous owner already started with shaving the engine bay and already put in some new rear wheel arches. The inside was already painted.

Some pics from the beginning.

And then the fun began.

Sanding down the engine bay, Lots of bondo everywhere =(

Still not completly done removing all the excess bondo but I'm getting there.

In the meanwhile I aslo removed all the seam sealer.

And from time to time I wanted to get away from the engine bay so I started bodyworking the rear quarters.

Also took apart the subframe to clean it up and respray it.

Played around with some of my wheels to see how it would look.

Then I started taking the volk racing's apart to refurbish them.

Some new bolts for the wheels.

Need to get some new stickers made.

Also collected some new goodies as time went on.

And 2 weeks ago I started prepping my brake bootser for some new flat black paint and did a first clean on the rest of the suspension.

This is where I'm at for the moment, I hope to get back to our clubgarage this weekend and getting some more work done.

Very nice build. Question: Where did you get the new nuts/bolts for the wheels?

I bought them at a car show in germany, these are from Schmidt. You can get them in gold and chrome.

But you can get them from downstarinc also --> http://downstarinc.com/Shop/index.ph...d&productId=39

Got some work done today.

Cleaned my steering rack and wanted to replace the steering arms but the damn things didn't want to come off, so before I left today I sprayed a good amount of WD40. Hope to get them of tomorrow.

Also prepped and primed the gastank cover, sprayed the brake booster flat black.

And started to take the '96 spec ITR trailing arms apart, removed the brakeline, handbrake cable and discs. Tomorrow I'll try to take it further apart and do the other one too.

Thx man, still have lots of sanding to do and undo some of the things the previous owner did. Taking longer then I hoped but that's why it's a hobby right. ;-)

No man, I still don't have an air compressor @ our clubgarage. Hope to get one soon because it will make life a bit easier working on our cars.

Your gonna hate me for telling this but I picked them up for 250 euro's that's about 320 dollars. And I've got 5 wheels for that price.

They need to be cleaned up and maybe some new paint but for that price I just had to have them.

And I need to finish refurbing my Volk's and paint my sprintharts and OEM '96 spec ITR wheels.

+ I just got a call from a friend of mine to check out these

Also for sale for 200 euro's, what to do, what to do, ...

I just send the seller an email to find out if he's willing to ship them to me @ a resonable price. There for sale in germany and don't have time to drive over there to pick them up. It's a 8 hour drive to him. And I have better things to do in those 8 hours.
