Default 91 CRX... Help?

I need to know if a b16a1 turbo charged is better then a b18 turbo charged in my 91 crx. I am trying to make my car really fast! now how do I go about doing that?

a b18 make sure you sleeve it and you could end up with a 2.0 monster.

You could have searched that one out..

In any case, it's speculation. In my opinion the B16 requirses boost to make impressive torque. Power is easy to come by, so I tend to focus on that to which is prized, hard to achieve and effective...torque.

Between the two, the B18 will produce greater torque then the b16 in Boosted or Normally aspirated form. This is from experience, owned a B16 boosted and an Ls-Vtec boosted built to similar extents and the B18 laid down more torque, Earlier, long enough. B16's need spinning to get to the meat of their power band, which isn't really a desirable trait depending on the driving situation.

Suggestion? Buy an LS block, a B16 head, have the head ported and built and prosper with the best of both worlds.

B18-Troque

B16 - Spin/Power.
