Motor Swap Tomorow Searched But Cant Find Definate Answer
ive been searching for four days for the answer to this question and used every form of terms in my search words usually this site has EVERYTHING im looking for however this is a direct and specific question ..
Vehicle American 1990 acura integra LS 2 door 5 speed
stock tranny so on and so on ..
now i just replaced my b18a1 engine with another b18a1 and the motor is hooped
i got the motor with 4 month warranty anyways they dont have another to replace the b18a1 so im payin a little more for a B18B1 from a 96 teg
of course the 96 teg is OBD2 and mine is OBD0
i know i have to swap out the crank pulleys .. as well as move a couple sensors and what not ... thats ALL good .. my specific question at hand is ..
i want to SPECIFICALLY use the B18B1 intake manifold as it flows better ..
can i simply swap my OBD0 fuel injectors with the fuel rail ? and call it a day ? or is there other things i need to do and if so what are they ?
theres a few reasons for this
1: the intake flows better on the b18b1
2: it will allow my strut brace to fit properly without spacing it
3: also without having to remove the intake and swap it for my A1 intake that will save me a few bucks on a new intake manifold gasket
4: my PCV valve hose and stuff is all mickey moused on my A1 IM and i like the B1's pcv setup better as well as the valve cover
now i know a bit about a bit however the computers in the cars and fuel injection stuff isnt my area of knowledge .. all i have found in all my searches is howto install after market skunk2 IM's and what not nothing specific about the b18B on obd0 with the B18B intake
any help would be appreciated as my motor swap will be started tomorow after work and i would like this to go as easy as possible
what i have is a header not sure what make but it came off this engine .. i already have a new gasket for that
i have all new sensors off my B18a1 since i just did that swap the sensors are all new .. and my water sensor is already extended and running off the thermostat housing
i understand i have to swap crank pulleys now should it be plug and play after that ?
and one last question .. i got a clutch plate from the wreckers that is practically brand new and from a 96 integra .. will this bolt up onto my 90 teg's stock LS tranny ? if so i wanna swap it of course while the motors are out and the tranny is off thanks in advance to anyone that can offer any constructive help
sorry to all if all this has been covered ... i havent searched about the clutch plate it just came to mind
but i assure you i have searched for the intake manifold info
and ive read as much as i can about the swap im just listing what i know and understand to see if theres anything im missing on the swap
thanks again fellow teggers

is there a write up for using the B18B1 intake manifold on a B18B1 engine in a 90 integra OBD0 ? mostly concerned with fuel injectors ? if i have to swap them if so no prob i can do that .. as i will be running my resistor box
and im curios to what i do with all the things that bolt onto the intake manifold ? can i use the ones that are on the b18B1 or do i swap over some of my B18A1 intake manifold parts ?

ok so i swapped out the fuel injectors from the b1 intake ... to the a1 intake .. i eliminated the resistor box the injectors are working fine but there running rich ...
im still in the wants to hookup the b1 intake onto the b1 engine .. in my obd0 car ... only thing im wondering is what do i do with the two vacumns that come off the firewall since the intake for the b18b1 doesnt have the same two hose hookups on it as the a1's my b1 intake has tha map sensor on it can i just use that and eliminate the obd 0 map and 2 solenoids ? which in turn eliminates the 2 extra vacumns im needing ? comon people ... im waiting for an answer i cant find any write ups on this particular situation
