96 honda accord 2Dr antenna
Im a mechanic and ive seen alot of cars- to the best of my knowledge on that car the antenna should be located on the drivers side rear panel near the trunk. Is it possible that a previous owner had shaved the hole??
Pull the carpet from the drivers side in the trunk youshould see something there like the power antenna motor or maybe the hole bondo-ed up where it used to be-
If thats the case you can carefully open it back up an put a stock antenna back in- let me know what happens. good luck i hate poor reception too!!
O yea! i also know there is a service bulletin on poor reception in that particular model- it tells u to remove radio and clean corrosion from antenna coaxial cable in rear of radio. clean it with a scotch brite pad or some really really fine sandpaper then put some dielectric grease on it - you can get some from local parts supply

ok you guys this is strange i found the antenna kinda.... i followed the wire back ... i does not go to the window or the trunk ... but its bolted to my roof under the headliner.... any ideas
Usually the wire would continue onto the windshield. Those lines running across the rear window is not all part of the rear defroster. Some of it belongs to the antenna. Most likely the upper part. In any case, there are like in-line radio antenna booster. I do not know if it works or not. You might want to give it a try...
Like when you put it onto (2)/second click (right before engine start)? It's normal. I don't know what it exactly means, but I have noticed it corresponds to the fuel pump priming up. You would hear the fuel pump and as the light goes off, so does the fuel pump. Maybe it's just a pre-check for all the systems. I hope someone else can contribute to this question...
Turn to 2 and see if it goes away first. Then start the car. But from what you're describing, sounds normal.
