Hi guys

Ok I installed an Innovate LC1 wideband and Apexi AFC NEO into a DC5 R. The car is stock otherwise from an Injen CAI, DC Sports header and Apexi Exhaust. After the install I got a cel and immediately pulled code 1253...my scanner says it Pedal Correlation?? ... Ive searched around and found its actually a VTEC malfunc. Has anyone dealt with this problem before. The car has a rev cut @ around 4000rpms. Oh forgot to mention the car came from Japan, the previous owner had a revspeed meter installed and removed it before auction so some of the ecu wires were previously spliced into. Thanks!

 

its probably the AFC, it doesnt work well with our cars

 

Ok, do you recommend i uninstall the AFC and see if the problem still lurks? I can do that in a pinch.

 

yessir, you may have to reset the ecu as well
