radiator fan not working
my 93 DA keeps overheating
i noticed the temperature rise for the first time after a carwash
i automatically assumed it was a crack on my radiator that i had temporarily patched up with some putty.
i went out and bought some permemant steel/hardener solution and patched it up again.
once it dried up i turned on my car and the leak was gone, but the temperature was still extremly high
...i noticed that my radiator fan wasn't working.
i checked the fuse and it works.
...but discovered that when i turn on my ac, both the compressor fan and radiator fan seem to work fine, and overheating doesn't happen
but as soon as i turn off my ac, none of the fans work
anyone had any similar problems?
bad relay?
bad wiring?
will lack of radiator coolant prevent the fan from turning on?

bad radiator fan switch. a 20 dollar or less repair. you already know its not the fuse and the fan works with the AC so the fan motor is good. replace the radiator fan switch. thats all. also make sure the thermostat is working. i replace the fan switch and thermostat every 60,000. or if i'm bored i'll do it anyways
