Icon3 project EK HATCH JDM SOLO BUILD!

Alright, new here to honda-tech, been browsing around for a while, thought i should post my build up. i would like to know what you guys think and some help if able to. im no professional, but i will be doing everything myself.

i'll be doing work on the hatch whenever i have a chance, i do work pretty often though, i valet cars at a resort for 8 bux an hr... plus tips... so everything is also gunna be havin my budget considered,

this isnt a baller thread...
hopefully this can help other people who r tryin to do the same, ill be puttin how much i put into this from day 1... from what it stands after the last pic,....

$208.75
amount spent includes, tools i have to buy/materials/parts/anything i need to continue the build (redbulls count)

THE CAR
1996 honda civic cx hatch
had a d16z6...when i got it..
shitty red paint,
3hx rims n 1 donut.

96 front end, started doing some body work, had a huge dent on front bumper.

started to sand the whole car,... primed black....

no more motor, pulled out some of the electrical

Passenger side body work

took everything off the front pretty much...

driver side body work/inside...

there was a decent size dent on the rear, i just started filling it, n i ran out of bondo... so.. it looks kinda shitty.

all the plastics, parts, for the car...

the garage... parts... everywhere...

no more carpet/rear panels.

Let me know what you guys think, and if you can help me decide what swap to go with, or any opinions ideas, that would be great thanks.

Well the goal is I plan on completely takin the car apart doing all the body work sanding/ grinding/ painting/ build it from ground up. And I want to eventually drop b20 vtec swap in it., or... Something b series haven't come up with exactly what build but that's where I hope you guys can come in and give me some pointers . I want to go with th clean jdm look but put my own personality in it aswell to stand apart any ideas are welcome. Thanks for the support. And yeah everything will be done by me.

UPDATE!! finally got a chance to work on the car again my one day off in 8 days...
the progress... so far...
As you can see something is missing!!

Took off the front subframe brace, along with the whole suspension, and i took the rear shocks off, found somethin out! all the shocks were ****. lol....

can anyone tell me is there a way to get that off? or do i jus have to pry it off or something?...... ignore the dalmatian table cover....

started to do some sanding as well... pack of 5 sanding papers $4.99 (60 grit)

i also started taking some of that tar-sound-deadening stuff off... bought a chisel from autozone $3.00

my friend rigo lending a hand!(vw haha jk rigo)

it was actually coming off pretty simple to my surprise...

so now some parts are starting to become more and more difficult... i called every ralphs, vons, staters in my area as well and they dont sell dry ice,... so the dry ice trick is prolly not gunna be possible for me... unless anyone knows a place? in the coachella valley? (92240 area code)

more updates soon as i can continue!!! thanks for lookin! hopefully i have more days off this week?

Look good and hope everything goes well.. I usually don't like taking the whole sub frame with the knuckles arm and upper arm because it too heavy for the back. By the way did you use an air compressor?

i have this old *** 2 gal compressor... i have no air tools .. i didnt use it for the subframe, just a breaker bar, came right off... dunno if that was supposed to be easy... lol. prolly not, but yeah... i just put the jack under the subframe took off all the bolts under then the upper arm bolts, left the steering wheel one intact, then dropped it a little with the jack, went inside and took the bolt off from the steering column and it all loosened up then just brought it all down... it is pretty heavy tho.

Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you, but don't give up or get stressed out. It takes time and patience to achieve your goals. Good luck with the build my good chum and I hope your final vision comes through!
