B20 Vtec Bad gas? Fuel Filter what do you think??
Stock b20b vtec, h/e/i p28 ecu chipped chrome i am guessing I just got the car I have the recipets to it of what was all done, B16 head, OBD1 intake mani. everything else is basically stock... And the issue is I will be driving, and at low rpms it sputters and cuts out, but wen i get into the higher rpms it like clears up and really wants to move.. I just got it three days ago, the guy said it was bad gas but i've ran it to near empty and filled it back up and it is still doing this.. My first guess would be to check the fuel filter, but I am trying to see if im thinking right.. I kinda thought that having a b20 or ls/vtec or some swap that there should be a adj fuel pressure reg. or something to up the fuel b/c it takes more than the sohc right? everything else is stock! Please help guys! thank ya!!

Tune it, and you cant have a b20/vtec with a p28 head thats a single cam...there is no honda basemap for a b20/vtec you need to take it to a respected tuner...and i would suggest getting a adjustable fuel pressure regulater.
Ok well im an idiot I ment a p28 ecu, and the guy i got it form gave me paper work showing that he had it tuned on chrome wen he had the swap done..? It was 500 bucks in tuning.... WOW.. so I got a fuel filter, I did think it needed a fuel pressure reg. but wasn't 100% if it would be ok withough..
I noticed today my O2 sensor was not hooked up and then I see another black wire not hooked up.. its got an obd1 conversion.. an obd1 intake manifold.. This O2 sensor not hooked up would probably be my problem you think??
Hooked the wires together and now my check engine light comes on.. Even with the wires unhooked the check engine light will come on.. not right wen it starts but a few min. down the road it will come on. Im not sure how to check this b/c its obd1 where should this harness be for me to check it??
