H22 Owners with IAB's working....
does anyone have pictures of their Intake Manifold and how the vacuum lines are set to their IAB solenoid box?
I don't think mine are opening and closing and it's very annoying 'bogging' in low to mid range when I know there is more power there. I have the IAB's wired up (I swapped an h22 into a 93 civic ex), I have it ran to A17 and the other wire grounded at the battery.
Is there any way to test to see whether they are opening or closing at all?
Or if anyone has pictures of them, that'd be great.
TIA

not very hard to check....it should be closed with your car at idle....and with your car off it will be open. Look at the IM. and check it out....
I dont think that yours is the same as mine cuz I have OBD2. But I didnt think that the ground would go to the batt. It should go to one of the pins on the ECU (unless its positively switched) which would mean that it gives battery voltage to turn it on...and in that case you would have it hooked up right....

thanks man, I just was told and according to my knowledge, there is 2 wires to the IAB solenoid harness, one from the ECU (A17 pinout) and the other is ground.
I don't know where else i should ground it, probably directly to the car

The other might be a powered ground, yellow/black wire that goes to the ECU as well and not to a body ground.. Check it out and let me know what happens..
check this pic out of what the proper vac lines are run to make sure you have all the right connections.. mines arent working either so tomorrow morning im going to hunt down why they arent, same thing as you basically..

I hooked up one of the wires to A17, and the other to what? I have mine to the body ground, is this where it should be, or should i tap it into another wire on the harness

you might not only need to connect to a ground or a power ground (black w/yellow wire coming from the ecu) but you may need to flip the wires..

dood, your repeating the same question. i just said that you need to connect to a gound, or a power ground, which is a black and yellow stripe wire coming from the ecu ... and of course flip the wires on the plug to make sure you have them connected right.

i still need the damn IAB's working and have a small vacuum leak in the THROTTLE BODY which is where i was getting that wavy idle.
So you got the car already?? And what you gonna do with your lude engine?
So now you keeping both cars?? I need to work where you working seriously..
Too bad they will both have to bow down the S-type. She is complete by the way.

If you just would have used the honda gasket and left it, all would have been fine. If you want re race, im down for being the flag girl.

i went to AutoZone to get a new one for the 2.2L and it STILL didn't fit. So i used that with gasket sealant

Hey dude, have you checked your knock sensor
J/K Anyway even though you didn't hit your goal tonight, it was still the fastest that your civic has ever made the 1320 and you should be proud, you just gotta remember that you beat a Trans Am and that makes it all worth it
talk to ya later bro
