i thought all type R's had faux carbon fiber climate controls, center console, and power mirror switch panel?
All ITR's ever made have a power mirror switch console, they just didn't come with the carbon fiber trim for USDM models. On USDM models, only the climate control, center console, and driverside vent had carbon fiber-like trim.
that's weird the climate control, power window switch and center console in the itr in the article are just black like regular ls, gsr, rs
I traded my stock '06 Si for a stock '01 ITR about six months ago, and I can say first hand that the driving experience is completely different. The more raw and connected feeling is exactly what I wanted to go back to. My wife and some friends thought I was crazy for trading my "nice" and pretty new Si for a nearly 10 year old car with 75k and virtually none of the fluff that people have come to take for granted on most new cars these days. Maybe I'll just forward them this article and tell them to read it. The article doesn't even touch on all the tiny details (engine and chassis) that separate the ITR from other Integras or similar vehicles. The ITR is still the standard by which all other FWD 2dr coupes are judged! They probably won't read the article, but that's OK. At least I know I'm not crazy...Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

The ITR has ruined me from buying other cars...
Couldn't drive a tsx, gsr, sti, and a few others because of my experience with my R.
Where do you go from here? Evo MR? Spend thousands more on a lotus?

"By now, virtually all its brother Type Rs have been ruined with stupid modifications, stolen, salvaged and ruined again."
True dat. JDM front end conversions, slammed on Japanese brand aftermarket suspensions, carbon fiber hoods and trunks, loud and ugly aftermarket exhausts, gimmicky intake systems, etc. Or salvaged with an LS or GSR engine and suspension but going for $10k.
