Default Help me choose a radiator.

Hey everyone. I have a turbo d16 and the summer is coming up and I want to install a new aluminum half rad. I have never purchased an aftermarket radiator and since there are many different brands and prices, I thought I would see what everyone else is running. I am looking for something decent quality and aluminum. Price range is 200-300. I have done a bit of homework and this is just my final bit of work before I decide. Let me know what you recommend!

I would give you my suggestion, but then again, it would be a biased one.

We offer a lifetime warranty at a competitive price. We are also on the forums helping other members. I have been running a Mishimoto radiator in my JRSC'd D16 Civic with no problems for the past 3 months. Let me know if you have any questions.

only problem with mishi and it might just be my car. my hoses were a lil small to fit over the holes and they leaked from the stretching. but its all good now. still for the price its a great rad so far.

otherwise and if you don't need a new fan too i'd say koyo.

I also agree and think Mishi is a good radiator and had the same problem with hoses fitting. Might as well get the Mishimoto hoses they are much stronger than the OEM ones

I had the same issue. If your stock rubber hoses are aged in anyway, they will not want to stretch over the inlet/outlets. I had this issue. However, you can boil the hoses for ~10 mins to help soften the hoses, and/or you can use silicone lubricant (I used some of the extra lubricant that came with my Energy Suspension shifter bushings) to slide them on.

oh i had no doubt that when doing this my hoses wouldn't like the idea of it. they were 15 year old hoses. but new hoses no issues.

remember aftermarket radiators are under more pressure than OE radiators so it is a really good idea to get better hoses. and if you wanna get the most out of the system pick up on a thermostat and fan switch also itll cost you an extra 200 for hoses, thermostat and fan switch and im sure you can get the mishi radiator for about 200 also. itll be agood setup
