TheShodan knows right off the top of his head. I have the fitting at home too, but I can't remember off the top of my head.

 

It should be a 1/4"npt.

 

I am pretty sure it is also.

 

its a weird brittish thread when i ordered my turbo they tapped it and threaded a 1/4 fitting for me

 

it is 1/4NPT I have some 90s and straight laying around if you need em

 

i think i read somewhere that it was british npt. ill prob just get the regular 1/4npt and "make" it work.....

 

Some of the S200's were the bpt not the S300.

Either way the npt will work in the bpt if you put teff. paste on it and then tighten it up.

 

Does the OP know he can put 3-4 wrap's of Teflon thread tape on and tighten the fitting just enough so it won't leak. I had a friend who over tightened the NPT fitting and broke it off once thinking you had to tighten it until no threads could be seen.

 

No tape please. Just paste. If tape is not used correctly it can clog the bearing system starving it of oil and cause a turbo failure aka (negative income).


Yes be careful and don't over tighten it.

 

Dan, I'm old school, I haven't had much luck with the paste on home plumbing. To me the tape is much easier and cleaner...as long as you have a clue how to use it.

FWIW, at work we have a written procedure how to correctly apply Teflon tape.

 

You must work in a is, ts or qs environment lol.

The trick to paste is to keep it mixed up real good or it will separate and be like putting grease on the threads.

so what about the oil return flange? the one i have here is too small. where can i get the right one?

 

It should use a regular t3/t4 oil return flange. If you measure the distance of the two bolt holes that hold in the oil return flange it should be 2 inches.

 

The oil drain flange from a t3 t4 will work but the oil drain bolts are larger so you will need to drill them out.
