If you have a 92, it should be OBD-1 anyway. All you would need to do is swap the heads. Make sure to remove the oil valve on the intake side of the block between cylinders 2 and 3. When you remove the head gasket you'll see it in the block, use a wood screw or something to pull it out as this valve is also inside the SOHC Vtec head. Make sure to use a P28 OBD-1 Vtec ecu out of any ex/si model.

I want to say all '92s had the Vtec wires all the way to the harness on the shock tower (mine was.) All you would need to do is add two wires to the correct plug, and you're done. There is a picture of the plug and the wires around out there, do a search for it.

92-95 Civics are OBD1. If you have any doubt, go take a look at the plugs on your engine harness. The majority of them should be gray. If they are then tell that "someone" that told you your car is OBD0 to go eat a dee eye see kay (and if the majority of the plugs are anything but gray then someone has switched up the harness and/or ECU on the car). If you want absolute undeniable proof of what OBD your car is, find the ECU and tell us which one it is. And to clarify since you don't seem to know, OBD stands for On Board Diagnostic. It makes no difference what OBD version head you have since the OBD differences are all in the electronics.

And seriously, go read the FAQ and use google (or whatever search engine you like). The mini me has been covered so many times before. I'm sure you can find the exact step by step procedure to accomplish this for your car.

i just did the swap on my 94 eg, i would use the z6 head it flows better but also get a y8 manifold. youre gonna need wires plugs and a dizzy that go with the z6 along with a timing belt and head gasket, it took us a little while to do it cause of dumb little things but you will need a wiring harness from an ex er si and also get a vtech solonoid on the head er at least make sure it has one. and yes dont forget about the oil jet between cylinders 2 and 3

You do not need a wiring harness from an EX/Si. Please do not provide incorrect information.
