hey guys some of you who are reading this have seen my da build thread and see that ek sedan that never seems to go anywhere...well ive been looking in the 4 door sedan threads and have become hooked on these cars as well...this car was wrecked!! the front end did not look bad so i bought it thinking i could just fix the radiator, hood and core support and be done but as i started tearing into i found that the pass. front side was pushed in.. pretty bad and the strut, upper/lower control arm, and subframe were all bent in...the axle was broke and thats all that i thought was wrong with that part really...it was winter time so it wasnt like i could really look underneath, i was just going by what the guy said that was wrong with it....anyways here are some pics of it and some of the stuff i got for it currently... it is a 96 dx non vtec
here is how it sat all winter..

and i got sick of it sitting so i threw some rota circuit 8's on and put it on the forums to sell it the way it was....




the car got some bites but nothing like i wanted...so i just said ***** it!!! im buying a 99-00 front end!!! so thats what i did i drove 2 hours to certifit and got my whole front end minus the grill and front lip





anyways the frame was so bad i tried to pull it out and the spot welds gave way and was unrepairable



i ended up going to the junkyard and got the frame piece that i needed ...

and that my friends is where im at right now...more updated pictures of me cutting out the old and tacking up the new will be probably up tommarrow...

thanks this one should be a lot easier to do since im not wire tucking it or shaving the bay...lol she just needs a good daily thats reliable...she is driiving a beat down red pontiac sunfire with no heat...so i really want to get this on the road for her

 

Little bit of rust but alright..

 

cut the frame

i ended up welding it myself with the flux core didnt turn out too bad

bolted and tack welded up with the core support

painted and put the bumper support on

put the wire harness and the hood latch cable back

bumper and fenders on

headlights on

and the hood

thats going to be it for a little while until we save up to get the upper/lower balljoints, outer tie rods, brakes rotors, windshield,and we bought the airbags we are just waiting on my buddy to get them out of the car

 

looking good, Now you just have to do the trunk and tail lights to finish the 2000 conversion

 

she just wantedt the front end for the fog lights and the different bumper

 

got the new radiator installed

and also the got the airbags/air bag module installed

also going to be doing a mini me swap when i get the car actually legal on the road... this will be used for later...

thanks guys i actually might take you up on that idea of the 99-00 trunk and taillights....i found a trunk cheap enought but she wants a spoiler to go with it and i all i would need is the driver side tail light thats not on the trunk so if you guys know of anything parts wise let me know thanks

 

got the 99-00 trunk and i got the tail light i needed now all i need is the trunk spoiler and and a front lip any body got those let me know

 

we gave up on the 4 door sorry guys anybody need anything parts wise because we are just parting it out now ....the 99-00 front stays for the hatch and the engine is sold already...the tranny shifts smooth no grinds...interior is all there still and anything else you want like the 99-00 trunk and taillights let me know 814-572-8137 call text pm or my email is thedb63@aol.com
