D16z6 swap.
I think I'm getting 23-26mpg.. This is horrible I might as well be driving a truck. Anyone have any ideas why? And I'm burning oil quickly.

piston rings might be going or low compression did you change your pcv valve

I did.. and I it did fine.. I belive it was 155-155-145-150?

 

well, a new z6 should yeild 185, and worn (needs replacing) is 135.. according to honda service manual. so your within spec, what injectors/ecu/mods do you have?

 

I think its just stock injectors.. No real big mods at all..

i do know that I am sucking in a lot of air - my air filter is really loud.. Also I bog under 3000rpm when my car is warmed up. but when its cold I don't. My idle is also up and down somewhat..

I'm not sure which ECU I have.. I will get back to you on the ECU. I am at work so I can't go out to my car.

 

I can relate to your problem, minus the motor. I have a d15b2 ( want to swap to a z6 but duno how to convert to a hydro tranny) did you check to see if your o2 sensor is messin up?

 

No, I dunno how to go about looking to see that either..?

My 90 hatch has 92 d16z6 swapped everything and kept the 4 spd till i get a si cable tranny. The hydro conversion costs like $500 f that i just put the si hydro on passenger seat for now. Anyway, it doesn't rev up higher than 3k or somewhat....anyone has an idea. 92 si ecu, motor from valve cover to oil pan obd1 everything. O2 sensor is not hooked up and vtec not hooked up yet. I wanted the car to run normal before i do hook them. Any help will be appreciated.
