ok my driver side wheel shakes really bad during low rpm also the passenger side tire squeaks it sounds like it has a welded diff had one of my uncles check it out he said it was the rack and pinion my rack was really bad had no grease what so ever so i thought it was the problem changed that with a new one and took it for a test drive and THE THING STILL SHAKES
so im lost dont know whats wrong with my car
need help tired of trying to fix something and its not the problem
the car drives fine somtimes but other then that its shakes out of control only at low rpms on the free way it drives smooth and on higher gears the shaking is mostly on 1st and 2nd

1st and 2nd are when you're probably accelerating the hardest. A very common source of the problem under acceleration is the axle or intermediate shaft...
I would check those FIRST. Tie rod end link and steering can pretty much be tossed out because it would do weird stuff under braking as well, and even at sustained speeds as you're driving...
If the car does it only at low RPM's, too, no matter what gear you're in, this is when the wheels have the most leverage on the drivetrain, so if all else fails, you might want to check the condition of your transmission mounts/engine mounts and make sure everything is secure (although generally you won't experience shaking, more of just the engine clunking around when you get on and off the throttle if this is the case)
Good luck man!

I'm new to THIS forum, but I noticed your thread right away.
I had the same issue with my car about two weeks ago... took my car to "Crappy Tire" and long story short, they quoted me to get a rack and pinion replacement, at about $1,900.00, lol. (I only went there because our mechanic doesn't work on weekends...)
I ended up going to my family mechanic who was going to charge me about $800.00, but then realized only the hose was leaking the power steering fluid. The hose was replaced for about $100.00.
Afterward, I was obligated to get a Minor Wheel Alignment, as when the rack and pinion begins to fail, it forces the alignment to go out of whack.
I was thinking perhaps you might have skipped this step?
If not, my apologies, just a thought.
Good luck.

i've had this happen on two occasions. one was an outer tie rod, the other was a bad axle. Goodluck. Are you doing the work yourself, once you figure out what it is?
This happened to me about 4 months back. It was my front two wheel bearings. I had about 4.5 inches of play on either wheel. I would check it out. It's easy to check yourself, just jack up the front of the car and see if you can wiggle your wheels in and out. If they do it's probably a good bet its your bearings.
