Comparing B-series mounts
I got a bit of a problem
I got B16A in my 91 sedan. I got the complete swap with Avid mounts and it seems that the engine hangs really low.
Are there other B-series mounts that would have the engine a bit higher up?
Help me out.

Avid mounts are entry level, i don't care for them at all.

Hey Deetz!
yea thats what i thought about the Avids, but i was getting a complete set up for a good price so at the time i wasnt very picky.
Can you confirm that Avids do sit the motor lower than other companies?

that's because of how tall the VTEC head is, plus, the fact that the us hood dips down instead of raises up like the UK/JDM hood does causes the valve cover to rub. having the engine sit lower to clear the hood means it's closer to the ground which could lead to your oil pan getting banged up, scraped up, ect. So in short, getting mounts that make the engine sit lower so the valve cover doesn't scrap is not necessarily the best option. gettin a JDM style hood that raises up in stead of dipping down will solve this problem.

Thats not my problem though; i got an EF2 front end so i have plenty of clearance on top of my motor, i just need to raise the engine up a little bit.
Can anyone confirm For SURE that Avid mounts sit the motor lower than other mounts?
Thanks-
