its not that loud but its noticable.. mostly on acceleration... it sounds like when u pull a spark plug out when the engine is on.. but a bit faster than that? any ideas? it sounds like its near the tranny but i could be wrong..

My first two guesses would be clutch or water pump. Can't really tell without hearing it.

 

I had a similar problem and started sh*tting bricks thinking the flywheel was gone. Popped the hood to find the clutch cable came out of the brackets and was just rattling against the hood. Just look around under the hood first... trust me.

 

Mine has a loud noise when you have the clutch let out, but when you push it in it magiclly goes away. It's getting worst too.

 

Im betting your flywheel is getting loose ...Or bad throw bearing might be the problem to

 

i checked for loose stuff but ill check again but it sounds like its the tranny but it really shouldnt be because i just got a brand new tranny and clutch put in last june..it better not be going already.. when i push the clutch theres no difference .. i thought it could be somthing with the DPFI carb and junk but im not sure.. cause it is louder on acceleration.. but the car runs fine so i dont know...

 

If you have a noise with the clutch out, that goes away when you push the pedal in, more than likely you have a bad Mainshaft bearing.... If that's the case, I've got a tranny I'll sell you...
