hey guys, my hatch idle is redic, it will idle at 1krpm but most of the time it will at 1500rpms. i trying cleaning the throttle body and adjusting the idle screw? but it really didnt do anything.

another problem is only when i go to take off in first i get a noise from the clutch. only coming out of first. i have a 6puck if i let go quick once its in gear its fine.

Any CEL's (Check Engine Lights)?? A bad O2 sensor or IACV (Idle Air Control Valve) can cause the idle to be erratic at times. Another thing that may cause your idle to be off is a vacuum leak or a bad FITV (Fast Idle Thermo Valve) so i would go get a manual and check all those out

 

like idle will keep going up and down ? even after its warmed up?
CHECK FOR SMALL VACUUM LEAK. i've seen an unplugged cruise control vacuum hose cause an irregular idle. cause they are tiny

 

t will stay at 1500 when i start it and then ill drive and stop and sometimes drop to 1000 and stay there, and once in awhile it was shoot back up to 1500.

anyone got diagrams? i dont no where to look for most of these things

 

ok so i decided to switch ecus. there was a jdm p30 ecu in there tuned by psi builders a place in longisland. i put my chipped p06 ecu which i was using in my 00 si with a stepdown. anywayz i went for a test drive and now it idles at 900 all day.?
