Default Restoring an abused 91 B18

A little background..

I have been shopping around for a b18 swapped CRX. I have owned a 84 and a 88 before but no swap.

So i have looked at a few and did not like some things I saw. I found one in Orlando, talked to the guy a lot, got pics and decieded that is the one I wanted. So I flew to Orlando and got a 91HF with a b18a1 swap and 5spd conv. It also has disc brake conversion. Well It was a 502 mile trip to get home and it went great up till about the 300 mile mark. I was leaving the gas station ( 37mpg on that tank) and heard a loud pop from the drivers side. Stopped did not see anything wrong ( it was dark). Got up to about 15 mph and it sounded bad. Sounded like a lot of clanking and rattling.

I think the cv axle popped, does this sound right?

Also the damn hood latch cable came loose from the latch after I drove 10 mph to get to somewhere I could start messing with it. So no tools, lights or anything I had to wait 6 hours for my g/f to come tow me home .

I saw a few write ups on the hood latch and have failed to get it open any tips?

Next question and the last for now. The emergency brake never got hooked up. He said it was a Integ swap. Autozone has one for 42$ for 91 Integ. Is that the one?

Sorry for the book!! Thanks in advance.

Ok I will get what is needed and fix the e-brake.

I fixed the hood latch cable today. It was not that hard once I figured out what I was looking at.

Do you all replace both axles if one goes bad or just do them one at a time? Should I roll with autozone axles or are ebay axles ok? Is there a better source?

I only replace one axle at a time, as long as the other one isnt clicking when you turn.
Ebay axles are a pain to deal with if you need a warranty exchange. thats if you even get a warranty.
Remeber youll need an axle for a 91 integra(if thats what swap is in it), not for a civic
