Fuel Pump Wont Prime....veryyy confused

well my ef had been cutting out so i replaced the fuel pumpfuel pump well after i replaced it i let it prime a good 10 times before even turning the motormotor over...it would kinda have like a quick spurtspurt like it was about to crank and then it would just stay trying to turn over...well after i tried to crank it a good 10 times thefuel pump stopped priming so i went and bought a new main relayrelay and that did nothing...i did find out that the alternatoralternator signal fuse was blown but then replaced it.....the CEL comes on and stays on now and the fuel pump doesnt prime at all, so now im trying to figure out the problem so i can drive that car for a DD......i checked all my grounds and what not
any ideas?

I'm in the same boat, EF hatch, swap... car was doing some strange bogging the night before it would not start... came out the next morning to fire it up, wouldn't start. Main relay clicks, checked the fuses, check a few grounds, pulled the fuel line from the FPR, turned the key two clicks and NO FUEL came out... checked for spark and i does have spark...
I was going to get a 255 lph pump and toss it in for when i boost the car, but now i'm hearing rumors of that causing me drivability problems... WTF?!

which one? I let him borrow a stainless Tanabe JDM B16 header to use when he was going to swap a B16 into his civic. He finishes the swap and shows up with a wannabe RMF header. I said hmmm where's my header at. I call my friend Tony aka Shitsweak! while he was doing Watis' wiretuck. Tony tells me that Watis(robbie) doesn't have it and he sold it for 140 bucks. A header that I paid 200+ dollars for. It was a semi rare OBD0 header with 2 o2 bungs. Regardless he didnt tell me he sold it, he didn't give me the money, it's been almost 2 years, all the while building and modding 2 other cars.
LATER on, he sells his 96-98 civic optional lip to JDM JNKY. robbie receives the money and claims to have shipped it. weeks go by and claims it was returned by DHL. The lip was still at his house and robbie had spent the money. He says he can no longer afford to pay for shipping. Another person from North Carolina named Alan who was a mutual friend of robbie's and mine, drove over an hour from Fayetteville NC to Raleigh NC and picked up the lip and paid with his own money to ship the lip to JDM JNKY in California.
I'm sure there are more stories, but these 2 hit close to home for me.

My eg did the same thing.
I checked spark, new main relay, swapped out fuel pump with 2 other OEM ones (said to be in working condition), all fuses check....
when i take off the HARD fuel line (leading into the fuel filter) and crank the car no fuel comes out... I was expecting a ton of fuel to gush out.
