just fitted a hks turbo timer to my dc2 with an integra wiring harness (supposed to be plug and play) however whenever i use the windscreen wipers, or turn signals, or turn the headlights on, or put the car in reverse, the timer starts to count down..

it obviously triggers the timer when it senses the ignition has been cut so im guessing that there is a voltage drop when using the electrics above, which triggers it to go off..

any idea's what to check?

the harness plug to the timer consists of 3 wires.

As nice as "T" harness can be for ease of installation, they add a lot of connection points, a bad crimp or terminal connection could lead to enough resistance that a small voltage/current drop could trigger the timer.

It is also possible the "T" harness is miswired, I would remove the "T" harness and connect turbo timer leads directly to stock wiring.

No need to cut anything, simply depin the leads you need from the stock harness plug(s), solder timer leads to shank of terminal and re-pin, clean and neat, and you eliminate a lot of unnecessary connection points.

If the above does not solve your problem, you may have a defective turbo timer.
