Default Couple of NOOB questions..

I just had a couple noob questions.

I have a 91 Si Ef -

1) I want a bigger front lip on it.. Where can I find and what can I search to find a bigger front lip?

2) What cluster can I put in my EF? Does any cluster work? I just want one showing less miles and more RPMs.

Thanks all.

You could search or look in the FAQ... I'm pretty sure less miles on a cluster is illegal.

it depends on the state and how many miles were originally on it, if my knowledge is correct

I thought that the protection varied from state to state, along with the punishment, but rolling back an odometer is still a federal crime?

a 90-91 usdm civic/crx cluster is plug and play. every other cluster requires you to move around some wires

it can still be considered fraud, but then again our cars are over 10 years old and you just have to do the paperwork to disclose the original milage. but i do understand your point of view to.

For bigger front end you can look for a bodykit front that's like oem or you can get an hfp Honda style aro kit which is specific to ur car n those are the Honda parts basically n it makes ur bumper more aggressive

as for the cluster you gotta stick with te same year and look fr a used one from a junked or totaled car online or even at the scraps area
btw it is in fact a federal crime to lie about your true odomoter mileage if your planning on selling te car... You must state at what mileage you installed new cluster and what it had on it them add the differences to make your overall mileage
all this must be disclosed once selling a vehicle so it's best to document with photos as well and date cards of both mileage readers on car prior to install and on new odometer before install too
if you fail to do so and they decide to check on you... Your car will maintain a salvage title for "fraudulent mileage" as well a you will recieve a huge penalty fine and possible suspension of license amongst other things

it's universally illegal as a federal crime... More states like California tend to take it to extreme and prosecute you for that especially since it's such a fraud here with people buying beaters n re settin/ winding back or changing the odometers to show less miles... Ur state may not be **** about it but it's still universally illegal unless properly documented

i found an edm cluster that i believe came out of a crx 1.6 vt or sir model (can't remember), it was a plug and play install, however, the check engine light comes on if you apply the parking brake, and the brake light comes on if there's an engine fault, i didn't bother trying to swap the wires around.
the cluster looks like a usdm civic si cluster but has a 9000 rpm tach and 150 mph (thats right, mph, not kph) speedo, and bright orange needles. i love it. found it on ebay a couple years ago.
as for lips, there's plenty of lips offered for the jdm front end, but for usdm you're best bet is to modify a lip from an earlier model vw golf or jetta (late 80's- early 90's), i've seen this done bfore and it looks good.

You can put damn near any cluster in the 4th gen you want, if you get the plugs for it from the donor car. 90-93 teg, 94+ up teg, 99-00 SI cluster, the list goes on.
