I have the opportunity to buy a 1990 SI HB for $500 with a possible blown headgasket. Anything else I need to be on the look out for? I have been around EG's for awhile, haven't owned a EF since 2000 and have kinda forgot what to be watchful for.

It apparently has a D16y8 swap, but I dont know much more about the car.

just anything you'd look for when looking at a used car. idk if rust is a problem where you live, if so check usual places for hidden damage. one thing it appears si's are famous for are clogged drain tubes.

 

if anything buy it and part it....

 

its 500.. if its not a rust bucket buy it.. ive seen clean shells go for more than that

 

i bought my rolling crx for 300 but it fell in my lap. a friend was gonna scrap it, there is absolutly no rust
