So i ordered a ebay SRI and while i was in the process of putting it in. I noticed i couldnt take off the intake box because of a bolt under it. My question is, how do you un-screw that bottem bolt.


Also, with the tubes going into the stock intake, how am i going to re-connect those to the SRI. What am i soppose to take off from the stock intake and put on the SRI. I noticed not all connected to the SRI. The instructions i got were horrible. Please help. Pictures would help. Connecting and everything. Thanks

 

If i remember correctly, you have to take off the front bumper. Somebody comment plz.

 

OP you put nothing from the factory intake on the SRI. take everything out and then install the SRI to the throttle body.

 

I think OP is talking about the vacuum hoses. My guest is the ebay intake only has 1 nipple for maybe 3 possibilities? Just use whatever one that would line up on the stock intake box in the equivalent spot.

Taking out the stock airbox and tubes is a lot harder than installing the SRI, thats for sure.

Yeah, there are three opening tubes on the SRI. Two kinda small and one larger. When i took off the tubes from the stocl intake i noticed one was for a believe the ECU? One was from the head, and the other was below the intake. I was testing to see if they would fit to the 3 opening tubes on the SRI and it didnt fit.

After that i took the parts from the stock intake that were connected to those tubes and tried to fit them onto the SRI. Nothing fitted. If anybody has a close up picture of the ebay SRI of what the set up is, that would help.

^^^ That helps alot but on the Ebay SRI i got the stupid "nipples" arent the right sizes for the 3 hoses. What do i do now?

Are you talking about that little plug that goes in the intake?

In your case you will most likely have to tape the sensor to the intake, sometimes they dont clip on or have anything to hold it it.
