Default power steering, rearend

Guys and girls--
thanks for your help with rack and pinion questions on an earlier thread. My original question was about a winding noise, due to a ps pump with no fluid due to a fluid leak. Well, after replace the pump and the entire rack and pinion, the winding noise still persists--so if it wasn't the ps pump, what are the other possibilities?

Also, I have this noise coming from the rear passenger wheel well. Sounds like metal on metal, clunking around. When I first get in it and drive it is really noisy, especially at lower speeds. At highway speed I don't hear it, and even at lower speeds after a while it dies down, but never stops. Gives the feel I am driving a pice of junk. Can someone point me in the right direction here?

While were at, i had my rear struts replaced, and ever since, the make noise over bumps. I am told there is no way to adjust or quiet these --is this true?

Thank you in advance for any help. photos coming soon

I have no clue what you're talking about. What car?

You had a rear strut replaced and it makes noise when you hit bumps. It sounds like it wasn't installed correctly, like there's some play in either the strut due to not being tightened down properly or some play caused by a worn out bushing.

As for the pump, did they properly bleed the power steering?
