the other day when i slammed on the brakes, some part of my front passenger suspension snapped. I know what most parts are under there but i cant identify this one,, okay i know its not the cv joint or lower/upper control arms, or springs. I think it may be the tie rod?

but anyway its maybe 2 feet long, connects near the axel and goes forward underneath the car. about 1 inch thick metal. also has two rubber things on it

maybe i shouldnt try explaining it, maybe someone can send me pics of parts it may be so i can identify it.

 

Sounds like the front stabilizer bar. If you get a better look it's kind of a U shape. At the ends, it's connected to what's called a lateral link bar (has rubber grommets on top and bottom).
