hey guys ive been having trouble trying to get my 5th gear to go it seems i have to pump my cluth for it to go all my other gears go in fine its just my 5 and its not grinding of anything what yall think it might be

 

Are you having problems going into reverse? If so, check your shifter bushings. Your synchroses could be bad for 5th Gear.

 

if its going into all your other gears fine, id says your synchroses are going out on your 5th gear

 

na reverse is fine its just 5th gear thts no going in if feels like i got to force it in so it will go in and sometimes it just go right in but i notice if i go from 3 to 5 it go right in smooth but another thing if i cant get it into 5 its hard to get back into 4th

 

i was thinking the snyc to but doesnt it usally grind or not all the time

 

there was a similair problem on my m2b4 trans. i took it apart and found the slider teeth (the thing that slides over the gears to select them) were worn. but the way they were worn it didn't like to slide over the syncro and gear. i took it out and flipped it around after cleaning it up some what. now fifth is easy, although reverse now sucks. but its not used as much as fifth will be.

 

i think im just going to rebuild my other gsr transmisson and swap it out cause my other one just needs new syncro on third but ill just do all them so i wont have to worry about it
