Quick CV Joint Replacement Question
very little if any. like at most maybe half a quart. it depends if the car is lifted level or if just the front is raised. if so you might get more fluid coming out
That's a good point and one that often goes unmentioned. I did my axles but drained the fluid, thinking a stitch in time ... Helms says it is not necessary for one side [dont recall which side] ... BUT, as in "caveat" I wonder if Helms wrote that with the thought that the vehicle would be on a level lift ...
well, usually when replacing CV's you should drain your transmission fluid first. Always be sure to use the correct kind of trans. fluid to put back in, must be honda not any other brand. oh and the drain bolt is the little square hole that a 3/8 ratchet will fit into.
