Default Can I lower my '85 REX with coil overs????

Is there any way to lower my '85 REX other than a body kit? I see that there are kits out there for '88 Rex's and up. What about us First Gen. ppl? Is it possible to swap over the front and rear suspension do be able to lower it?

Any body know of a good resouce to find out info for this kind of project????
Thanx!!!!!

Yes you get a set of coilovers to lower an 85. But you can only lower tha back with coilovers the front has torsion bars which can be lowered with just a socket set. Ground Control makes a set of coilovers. On my 87 I have eibach's in the back which lower it around an inch. 84-87 and 88-91 parts are no interchangable.

Funny you should ask, I just installed mine on last weekend. Kind of like this? :

That is the Koni sleeve kit and Eibach ERS springs on an 87 HB. CRX usees the same parts.

No problem, my pleasure. Looks like a bit of a project...

If there's not much rust underneath, and the body is good, then it's worth the work.
