Default Tune Up

A friend of mine has a 94 honda accord and trying to read the timing. He can't find the vacuum line. Is is true that he has to unplug the vacuum line to get/adjust for the correct timing? Please also tell me where is that vacuum line. THANKS!!!

Well, it sounds strange to me too, but he said the manual for the honda does say it and so does the instruction for the timing gun.

ANyone has done this?

Um. No. Ive always jumped the SCS service connecter and gone from there to reset timing. I never pulled any vacuum lines.
