Default cigarette lighter

I know this isnt a sexy topic, but I use mine to power my radar detector and charge my phone, and it is burned out.

The dealers dont carry them anymore.

Advanced auto only carries a generic one that doesnt fit.

Ebay has none.

Any ideas?

You could always get one of these and cut the wires and tap them into a power source, creating your own cig lighter. Its really easy. If you route the wire along the windshield, closer to the radar, you have just done a nice clean install and you wont have a wire across your dash anymore.

1. Find a 12V power source that turns on/off with the key (radio or fuse box)
2. the positive wire is the one on the inside and center of the cig lighter
3. the neg wire is the inner edge or rim of the cig lighter

all this part is is a female cig lighter with a pigtail of wires to tap into a power source.
