I gotta 90 civic hatch and im doing lower control arm and i cannot break the Strut bolt loose to reach the cross member bolt


i got a Impact wrench and it still wont do it lol so i was jsut wondering does any one have any ancient secrets to take this off..... its all original so when i did use impact a buncha rust fell and i used WD-40 but any suggestions on how i could break it loose?

Like do u think a break bar would work since the impact wouldnt even do it

 

breaker bar and a pipe.

 

Try using a torch to heat up the metal around the bolt. Not the bolt itself but around it and when it's hot or glowing red impact the **** out of it and it should come right out

 

Already said the 2 best ways a breaker bar, and or torch. Hit the gym get a 6 pack of PBR if you need extra muscles

 

I used a breaker bar and pipe........the pipe was about 8' long and i had to practically put my whole weight on it. good luck tho.
