Default '99 Civic - Bushings

The rear bushing in my 1999 Honda Civic need replacing. I received a quote of $600-$700 (Canadian) from a mechanic. Does this seem about right?

you need to be more specific. which bushing are being replaced? there are quite a few of them: lca, uca, trailing arm, sway bar.

also is the mechanic replacing the actual bushing or charging for all new parts? bushings cost about $20 each but need to be pressed in/out which takes longer than just replacing the entire part so the mechanic wants to take the easy way which cost more in parts for you

I didn't know there was more than one. I'm not technically inclined so I'll try and describe it.

They (both rear sides) are located going into the tire area.

I just did a google search for the various types of bushings associated with the '99 Civic and from this site & picture [....]

it looks to be the " AST Rear, Upper, InnerControl Arm Bushing" as quoted by the website.

Would that make sense? It looks like the type. He mentioned he's never seen them go before.

He's just replacing the bushings.
