My integra has problems starting please help me
My check engine light comes on after i start my car for a little bit when it's warmed up and i would drive it for a while..depends how long i drive it, when i shut off my car i would have to wait a couple minutes for it to start again. I'm guessing it's the fuel pump but i'm not really sure yet..what should i do??
Just my 2 cents worth but,
Check the fuel pump relay, when the temp. is hot in the cabin, the relay has been known to lose contact, try a spare one. Might help.

how could I check the fuel pump relay? so i shouldn't replace the fuel pump then? I'm going to find out the code from the check engine light and see what the problem is.

basically yeah. just go to autozone and ask for a fuel pump relay. then go in your car, look under the drivers side dash (you may need to remove a panel by removing a few screws) find it (its on a clip on the steering column bracket) and pull it out and replace it
Nobody is sure. They are just giving you suggestions that could be the problem or something for you to check. Process of elminination. Start with the easy stuff first. The FIRST thing you need to do is jump your ecu for the CEL error code.
yes--we are covering the basics first.
Because he can smell fuel is making this questionable to me. If it were an issue with the fuel pump, there is a pretty good chance he wouldn't smell any fuel (which is more then likely from flooding the motor). By all means try the relay, but it almost sounds like an O2 sensor issue. Almost like it's reading to lea and trying to dump in more fuel. Just my .02.
i replaced the relay but it didnt work..if it was the relay then it wouldnt start at all. I'm guessing it's the icm or crankshaft sensor..anymore ideas??
so when you run the car it goes off on you and does it crank again, but not start? isthe temp getting extremely hot? my next guess would be the fuel pump gong out. what CEL code are you getting? that will help because we can only guess. and what year is your car?
Check your main relay it's notorious to do that, its because the solder comes lose because of vibration and something about cold solder from factory I just took it off pull the cover off and desoder the joints and solder it back put it back in and it starts every time, mine did't start if I left it in the sun, so just my opinion.
