I have a set of HX rims and one of the center caps has gone missing.

I called a dealer and the parts guy said that each year the cap sizes changed and that there is no way of knowing by looking at the hubs what caps will actually fit.

Is this true? Does anyone have a makeshift solution for this kind of thing? The missing cap just makes the rim look crappy.

 

He's partially correct. A center cap from a '00 HX rim won't fit an HX wheel from an '02 because they are different styles.

Did you tell him what year car you have?

You should be able to find one on Ebay.

 

Do they have them in stock at the dealership? If they do, bring one of your other ones and match them up.
