yes i used a black stretch type fabric ...and some adhesive spray ...the headliner was easy..but the a-pillars were a biatch....
the glue is elmers craft bond adhesive spray.....luckily my mom had this fabric hanging around..but i'm sure you can find it at most fabric store...the adhesive can be found at walmart in the fabrics and crafts section.
i love the all black look alot better....the grey head liner had fingerprints....and oily stains that would not come out anymore ...so this was the best solution...looks much darker driving at night ....i kinda like it ....
very stick job...but well worth it

You have a leaf stuck in your rear wiper blade.
here it is...its a felt type stretchable fabric...i has to be stretchable or it wont work....very soft and smooth ...and has to be thin ...doesnt collect much lint

how do you put that on?
heat it up or glue it donw or something???
you have to get the fabric wide enough to cover the headliner for sure....
cut out a peice big enough .....do about half of the headliner at a time....spray the adhesive on the headliner....then smooth the fabric over it ...get any kinks or wrinkles out....its not super glue ...so if you mess up...you can peel it off and start over......on the holes for the dome light..i uesd a exacto knife very carefully to cut it out....you will have alot of axcess fabric around the edges....you can cut it all off..but what i did is after finsihing the front...i left some excess still around the edges....turned the headliner up side down....sprayed adhesive around the edges...and folded the excess over so that when the headliner is back in it will tuck underneath ....i did the same with the a-pillars....
i recomend you start with the two small peices by the windsheild..they are the easiest ...and you get a rough idea of how its done....then start on the headliner...and lastly do the a-pillars...the a-pillars will be the most challenging...

cool!! nice job - I too don't really like the grey plastic look....
It would be cool to do that with alcantara - but probably would cost $$$

alacantara is the suede like material on the ITR seats
Gotta do the visors, and the plastic pieces that connect the rearview mirror and seatbelts to the body of the car for the complete black look.
I like it. I think it looks great. The only thing I'd be worried about is how it's gonna last against the UV. I'd be worried that the fabric would fade real quick. Also looks like it could get snagged pretty easy, especially on the front windshield pillars. But hey, if it's easy to do, then you could just redo it every year or so.
Good Job!
