hey guys. was wondering what you CB7 guys choose for exhaust. im needing something as quiet as the oem system, as well as fit as good as oem.

a new exhaust from honda is out of the question. what about a RSX-S muffler??

a rsx muffler or the newer civic si muffler sounds pretty good on other hondas or spend a little money and buy a greddy WS2

Do you mean an Apexi WS2?

RSX-S muffler is relatively decent, as are S2000 mufflers. Just get one of those and keep the resonators and catalytic converter in place and it will be quiet.

Aftermarket I believe the RSR is relatively quiet, but discontinued.

If you want "quiet," there is only one muffler WS2. Like others have told me, don't waste you time and money on anything else. WS2=Done.

Yes, it's expensive. You said you want "quiet."

2nd choice. OBX Twin-Loop (about $100). Find it on ebay. Make sure it's OBX and not other copy-copy.

I had an older Si muffler on my Civic. I got a bit more, but it was still too OEM for my taste. ** I know we are talking about different gen Civics.

I'm suprised no one mentioned RS*R. I love my ExMag and for the most part it's relatively quiet. It's also full stainless, fit's 100% like oem, real quiet, and it can be sourced for under $400 (Accord EX 90-93 $359.99). And it's got a smaller muffler tip (100mm) compared to the WS2 (105mm). And it's less expensive.

this is a sound clip from right after i installed it. I've put about 3k miles on since and it's less raspy sounding. At this point in time i still had the F23.

this is from the inside of the car still with the F23.

If your interested, i can make a video with the H23 Vtec, but all you hear is the intake.

good luck and my bad about blowing it up with pictures, haha

Thanks man. I used RS*R exhausts on almost every Honda I've owned. I'd recomend them to anyone who wants a quieter, clasic, performance exhaust. And i forgot to add, the $360 included all nuts, bolts and gaskets.
