91 std/mini me not running
So ill get to the point i know there are old posts that all ready cover similar problems. But none are what i have. I started with a 91 std Canadian make, then i converted to mpfi with a jdm d15b non vtec! engine, but i didn't have to right dizzy, so it ran to 3k and rev limited.(limp mode) Last Saturday i bought a d15b vtec head, timing belt and dizzy. Now i assembled everything and hooked up the injectors, etc. I go to start the car, and if fires quickly and then dies. I tried all plugs and double checked any and all electrical parts. I was extremely careful about all the parts i disconnected. Today i pored gas into the intake and it ran and revved up to 5 grand or so for 30 sec, then i stopped poring and it died. Felt all the exhaust manifold and they were all warm. I em running a pm6 ecu i don't wanna or can afford a p28 now so no vtec hook stories. But what could be wrong. i need this car for transport to school. Please tell me what i need to do.
P.S. its not the fuel pump or relay stuff. trust me i checked

Today I'm going to test for signal to the injectors, and post again from there.
Yes you can run a pm6 with an rpm switch just fine so long as the ecu is also obd0. You are incorrect in saying obd1 and obd0 distributors are the same. There is a reluctor wheel inside the dizzy which sends a pulse to the ecu. The pulse frequency differs between obd0 and obd1 components, and therefore they are not compatible. This problem of yours has come up literally hundreds of times and the answer is always the same. You cannot mix and match.

Like it was mentioned earlier, you cannot use an OBD1 distributor with an OBD0 ecu. They are just not compatible. To remedy your problem, you can either get an OBD0 distributor (has to be an Si one), or convert to OBD1 and get an OBD1 ecu (which isn't an option for you at the moment from your posts).
Ok well dose anyone know what is spacificly happening with my car. I put the old si dizzy back on with the correct wiring. And it wont run at all. Thanx to all the reply.
update me on your status, sounds very similar to my problem, you can run an 0bd1 dizzy off a obd0 computer, i've ran z6 heads off of 0bd0 computers before.
I know that is what I've been told and read. It's not like I'm a noob, I'm just confused that on why it won't run. What did u do to ur swaps?pushinglikekrazy thanks man someone that know finaaly. Lol
it's like you guys must think we're all just talking out of our asses. i've been doing this **** for years. this isn't something i'm kind of sure about or heard from so and so, it's fact. i don't know how i can make this more clear to you. you cannot mix and match, end of story.

ok well I'm sorry to D16SiHatch, Redline130, and DCRB. I trust just about everyone's opinions as experts.i did get it to run i just jumped the main relay (fuel pump) and it ran, It humped *** 120mph. No bull ****! But i went ahead and striped the old ecu out and needing to find a p08/p28 either one. anyone got one? And what harness jumper would be good? Rywire are they good.
haha, the obd0 and obd1 dizzy's have different amounts of teeth on the reluctor wheels, you need to swap for obd1 or get the right dizzy, oh ya and make sure those 2 white wires that go to the dizzy are in the right place, its hard to tell, if ur going obd1 just get a p06, get a chip kit and vtec kit from motes.net, solder it in and get ur conversion harness and ur good to go, then get a chip burner and wideband and tune it
