I have a 95 GSR that came with a USDM ITR 5lug setup, and I'd like to swap them out now for the extra cash. Since I didn't install them, and I'm not to familiar with suspension, the guy that I'm trading with said he'd help with the swap.

So my question is, is anything else going to be needed on either part? Do we swap axles? I have an ITR tranny, is that going to affect anything? Will everything that both of us have just swap easily?

I'd really like to get rid of them, I'm just really apprehensive due to my ignorance.

Any tips are greatly appreciated.

 

Just swap out the whole front knuckles and whole trailing arm assemblies. Easy as pie.

 

Thanks, I'll figure out what knuckles and trailing arm assemblies are. No problem. What about the axles? Do I need his or mine with an ITR tranny?

 

i think you swap axles too. i think itr's are 36mm and the stock axle is a 32mm. the stock axles will work with the itr tranny. they have the same cast as all b series trannys, just different gearing. heres a link to what a swap consists of.

If it is a usdm itr 5lug set up there is no need to change axles. Only the Knuckles and trailing arms.

 

only jdm itr's have 36mm axles
