OK. my car would start and have a high rev to like 2500-3000 and constantly stay there as if im putting gas into it myself. i know thats pretty normal for cold temp. engine warming up. but what is weird is though when i drive i drive really fine and smooth. and right when i see a red light ahead i throw my car in neutral to slow down and it would jump on the tach meter 1-2 going up and down continually until i reach a full dead stop then my idle would kick to 1500 and stay there.

I change the IACV for a new one but no luck. and i bleed the coolant system and recycled to make sure no air was stuck.

If u have an idea, please lemme know i would really appreciate it.

what engine do you have? some types have an adjusting screw in the TB, probably with the engine type i culd see if there is one or not

 

Clean the throttle body thoroughly and adjust the throttle cable so that it has about 1/2" of free play.

Any CEL codes?

 

naww, when i hook up the odm it doesnt read anything... i gotta get that fix too errrg
