Supposedly reduces intake air temp by reducing heat soak to the manifold. Gimmick product or not? Seems logical to me. What do you guys think?

I couldn't even install mine. I think I just didn't have the tools for it. I couldn't get the IM bracket off and couldn't figure out how to remove the lower bolts underneath the each port. What seemed so simple turned out to be the most frustrating thing I ever tried to install. To this date it's still the only job on my car I had to walk away from.
edit: Did you guys use some whacky shaped extensions or what? There's just no room under there.

I like mine, i did the street use install.
I can put my hand on the intake manifold after a hard run.
Before i couldn´t touch it.
Decreased the temperature alot.

Just be careful when torqing it down. I managed to crack my manifold near the water neck. All the other bolts torqued up to 15lbs, and the last one cracked before it got there. The gasket material is thin there or something.
just the hondata gasket

for me ofcourse....Mrmm...I dun think using the stock gasket is necessary but might help if you have a vac leak after the hondata gasket install?
RA who also thinks he should have documented the procedure for the race install but now realizes what he knows can get him paid... :evil laugh: ....
I just got an email from someone at Hondata and they want to send me a new gasket since mine was ill fitting. Sounds like a company that cares to me.
What the hell is the "street install"? How can you get the gasket on more than one way...remove the manifold, install gasket, re-install the manifold, right. I'm missing something (easier said than done).
The gasket comes plugged at the coolant "pass through" so that you dont have hot water transferring heat into the manifold. This is reffered to as the RACE setup.
The STREET setup means that you cut a small square hole in the gasket so that water can pass through as normal.

Ya the guys at Hondata are way cool. From New Zealand i think. As for the gasket, its a relatively easy install. If you want to try a hard install, try putting one on a GSR intake manifold. Now thats a PITA. With an ITR intake manifold, just use long extentions to reach from behind it. Fairly easy.
Also its definately good at reducing intake tempatures. The only thing i don't like is the little threading you have to tighten the bolts because of how thick it is. Other than that, its a product thats worth its money.
