the difference between jdm vs usdm gsr intake manifolds
i been thinking about this for awhile. question is what is different between them? show or tell me how are they different? i search for this topic and nothing came up.
i know different for the gsr intake manifold and type r intake manifold. the reason i asked the question is smogging the car
because the two gsr manifold look the same, but if i smog my car with the jdm version would the smog tech will notice the difference in the two

Are you sure there's a difference? If not, then it shouldn't matter which one is on there, since they would be the same.
well im planning to buy jdm b18c1 motor switch out parts from my usdm motor like intake manifold exhaust injectors and so on. that why i asked if usdm or jdm intake manifold are the same or not
if the jdm motor you're getting is 96+ "obd2" then yes there is a different. it doesnt have the bung for the EVAP PURGE SOLINOID VALVE which runs into the charcoal canister.
also if your car is obd2 the jdm motor wont have the crank fluctuation sensor on the oil pump. so your going to need to swap oil pumps and timing covers. manifolds are the same
so basicly i have to switch out evap to put it on the jdm one. i know about the vin number and all that. i planning to take my car low budget smog shop really dont know different honda motor. on the far eastside of town. if i take it(just letting you know im not racist) if i take my to white guy shop they will look for everything. last time i smog my car this smog tech even look at my ecu and was on the phone with the state ref. at the time my car wasnt passing smog. but i fix the problem, i had bad cat and o2 sensor. i pass smog with a build gsr motor
and change the oil pump, install the cfs sensor and don't screw up the oil pan gasket install.
also get a new oem timing belt
just had to add that after talking to a guy who bought a jdm R motor, drove it and had the belt skip a tooth 5k later. 13yr old timing belts are dangerous.

im about to buy a jdm gsr motor b18c1 obd2,
what would i need to change if i choose to run the USDM ecu? so far i researched i would have to swap out the oil pump and add on the evap purge solenoid valve, is this correct?
now what if i choose to plug in the jdm ecu instead of using the US ecu, would i still pass smog?
im going to buy my motor from hmotorsonline.com the owner says all i have to do is swap out the oil pump if i choose to run the US ecu.

you'll have to swap out the oil pump, add the cfs sensor, use a usdm crankshaft sprocket and use the usdm vtec solenoid along with adding a purge solenoid and tapping it into the vacuum chain somewhere. the jdm itr manifold does not have an evap port
hmotors is beyond over priced on R engines. steve is seriously living in 2003 with those things.
