Default cams for b16a help

i have a b16a with skunk2 pro series valve train, and stock bottom end, it run 9.5@75.9(1/8) with gsr cam and tuned. i want to get a different cams, and i come across a deal on a set of skunk2 turbo 2 cams. i plan on turbo in about a year. i do want to able to get somegain withou turbo. what u guys think of running skunk2 turbo 2 cam as a all motor dd?? i don't want to lose power if i drop those in before i turbo it.

or should i trade it off for itr/ctr thx

you would probably lose power cause since its rated for turbo so the vtec engagement is lower...so the vtec will engage at lower rpm but not enough fuel...so you would lose power for sure...do some research a little bit...chek also vtec controlers and youll see it would be also the same principal

well, i do tune my own car, right now is tuned with crome, i'm about 13.5 right before vtec at 5000, and after vtec i'm at 13.0-12.8 all the way till 7k then i at about 11.8, which i need to clean up that part. so fuel is not a issue, i can retune the cams with it, but the deal is it going to be awhile before i have turbo put on, so if it make it worst then no.

i guess i going to some other cams. i thinking going with some pro1 or type r, something give me great gain, but work with the turbo some what ok.

yeah type r cams would be a nice upgrade and could handle the turbo... plus with type r cams you don't really have to replace springs and retainers... so if I were you I would go for type r cams (cheap and reliable)

This is incorrect.

Turbo cams just have a shorter duration than most all motor cams do. They will make more power than stock cams. VTEC engagement is not lower, it is where you set it on your ECU according to dyno curve. Not enough fuel? Again, that's a tuning issue, not a cam issue.
