this japanese company: http://homepage3.nifty.com/GTO/
and some other companies make hub adapters where you can change your bolt pattern from 4x100->4x114.3 or to 5x114.3 i have to look into it more though and i think the cost of these things can be from $100-300.

converting to 5 lug isn't rice man. i personally wanted the full type r suspension for function. i don't think spending $900 bucks on a upgrade and then someone coming up to me and saying my car is rice...i'd like to see what they have.

i think Soup meant buying a 4->5 lug adaptor insted of doing the complete 5 lug conversion was rice

No..... **** is saying that the ONLY reason to do this is so you can pose as an R...... I don't agree but that is an R owners point of view.

A $600 suspension that outhandles your $900 suspension with one less lug per hub.

Admit it, most folks out there do it for the status (read: rice appeal).

C'mon, at least SAY that you did it for the brake upgrade, not the suspension...that way you don't appear as ricey. The ITR springs and coils alone aren't that much better than a GS-R's.

and besides, you can put in the R suspension w/out the 5-lugs. So it's pretty much a rice thing.

actually i'd get the 5 lug conversion for the bigger oem brakes, and lighter stock wheels. i LOVE The gunmetal 15 inch itr rims. that way i can stick with OEM equipment, and have better stopping power plus the nicer lighter wheels.

I think considering the cost and the fact the extra lug has little advantage to a normal driver. Buying a 5 lug over say a fast brakes kit and ITR Rear LCA's is more for status than performance.

Also where did the lighter wheel thing come from? Almost all Integra wheels including the ITR whel are between 15-16 lbs not much to be saved. Now get the 5 lug and buy Mazda Millenia wheels (11.5 lbs)!

Soup was saying the average joe won't hit the track and use the additional stability a 5th lug provides and if you wanna stop better buy good pads . . .

That being said and Yes, I do own an R. I think it looks good and would probably do it on a car if I found the right deal.

On to the important stuff. SSB with Gunmetal wheels looks SWEET!
