Default 11:1 F22A :DYNO inside:

Something I've been helping a friend build over the last year. The bottom end was done and swapped with a stock head sometime in early fall/late summer. Just finally got around to installing the built head last weekend.

-ported F22a1, custom spec vj, new valves...etc..its a new head
-Bisimoto custom regrind
-Bisimoto valve spring
-ARP head studs
-OEM head gasket
-ported H23 IM
-bored H23 tb(68mm)
-3" intake
-Bisi IM gasket
-EGR block off plate
-JDM DOHC F22B block
-Wiseco 85.5mm, 11:1 cr
-Bisimoto rods
-b/s belt delete
-Crome Pro
-P06 chipped
-WS2 catback
-Megan Header
-no cat
-JDM M2A4 transmission, non LSD
-Bisimoto 8.9lbs flywheel
-Prelude OEM replacement clutch
-h22 injectors

The dyno

Adding in 10% to match most dynojet numbers, it's at roughly 206whp/180wtq.

The owner still plans on upgrading his exhaust to a 3" and installing a DC header with modified downpipe. I also didn't get a chance to mess with the cam gear so hopefully that picks up even more power next time around. We'd really like to break 200whp on this dyno.

All porting, building and tuning was done by me.

I hate seeing **** like this.

If you want to know how much power it makes on a dynojet go put it on one don't guesstimate. LOL

How about you shut the **** up and read. No where did I say I want to know how much it makes on a dynojet. I simply gave reference numbers because that's what most people go off of.

Ok... I read it the first time. Don't get all butt hurt, because you are guesstimating dyno numbers for another type of dyno since you didn't make 200whp on this one.

Look around, most mustangs read 10-13% lower than the "industry standard" dynojet. The motor is in a cb7, and it slowly pulls away from my dynojet 206/172 H23vtec in my cb7. Same trans too. I'd say my "guesstimate" is as accurate as can be without getting on the actual 'jet.

It's a custom regrind "engineered" for this motor. Payed $50 extra for it over the off-the-shelf level 2 regrind. We plan to test a few cams up against this one, including my own custom spec.

The owner and I were very surprised at the numbers it put down. It does exceptionally well on the street. Doubt it'll ever make it to the track though.

well it does have a megan header

i'd get a bisi header on there and that would should if the bisi header is actually worth it. That would be a good test.

I'd like to, but the wait for one of those is well over a year, and that's for the group buy. $1400 or something like that to get it done asap. I'm gona see if the owner wants to put up some money and get a one-off SSR.

For now, we'll stick to a modified DC header and 3" exhaust.

you got access to a welder? Make a custom header yourself. Im waiting on my friend to see if he gets a welder and then i have an idea for a header design. Just need to get the materials together and my car running good.

I have welder buddies, and that's about it. All are very lazy and unmotivated and I doubt they'd let me use their $1k+ machines.

The header and exhaust are the only things I don't like about this build.
Otherwise, props.

couldnt you run a h22a head and possibly make more power, just curious to know if the f22a/ h22a combo works

Thanks guys. Yeah, the exhaust will get changed with time. He just moved into a new place so it'll be a while till he can dedicate time/money to his car again.

I don't think too much power could be had by slapping an H22 head on this bottom end. The gains would be minimal imo.
