KYB GR-2 Shocks
How are the KYB GR-2 Shocks for OEM replacement on a 98 honda accord 3.0L 2dr. I have about 186k miles on my OEM shocks, nothing blown or anything as far as I can see and the mechanics have told me they are fine but I want to improve the ride quality and comfort, smoothen the ride a little bit, what would be my best option? I can invest 200-400 into shocks if it helps me improve my ride quality, I am desperate for comfort, I need the little quirks in the road to disappear inside the cabin.
Driving on these bad roads makes me feel like the entire interior is trembling, on the highway smooth roads the car drives nice and smooth.

Honestly I thought mine were to soft. I wish they were harsher, I have a H22. Go with the KYB adjustable if you can afford it. However GR2 won't fail they also take about a 500 miles to break in.
I have also found the GR-2's to be on the soft side. They are still pretty new, so that may be it, but I don't see them getting more firm over time? Tokico adjustable are on my other car, and I like them. The blue "HP Series" would be a good choice.
I have Nexen N3000 tires on my car at the moment. I just can't bear dealing with all my interior shaking going over bumps so I need to do something about it which doesn't involve buying a new car.

dude get rid of them tires i have the same on the front of my car and feels like im riding on a dirt road...are u planning on lowering it? if not then get some monro gas stuts or KYB GR2 will be a upgrade!
KYB GR-2's are OEM equivalent shocks and should not be used to lower your vehicle. You'd be just as well off buying brand new stock struts and using those.
KYB AGX's are a step up in performance, if that's how you want to phrase it.
If you have an LX, you may want to see if the EX has different springs, I installed EX springs on my DX Accord and it rides ridiculously smooth now. Other things are tire sizing (rubber band side walls are certainly not helping), alignment, tire pressure, and dynamatting the interior.
The Dynamat would definitely help make the car sound/feel more solid and reduce road noise. Adds some weight but for daily driver it's not a concern.

Are you talking about the N3000 tires? I had no clue they were shitty, I just had 2 new ones put on the front, paid $200+ for them
you can lower your car and keep the quality...not gonna get it with coilovers, now springs is your best bet...coilovers take control of your mind cuz u want a certain height but when u get curious about what it will look like slammed....thats when u get brain washed!
