bent two? what wheelz are you running on the race kar now? Who did you order them from? Were the bent wheelz replaced?

I ordered a set of rota 'attacks' last week and i'm hoping i dont have any issues of this sort on my kar.

i was curious of the Slipstreams quality as far as bending and fading.

i'm considering pickin up a set, 16x7 in Silver most likely.
do they bend that easily since they are cheaper in cost than most others?

just want to know before a spend the $$.

i'd appreciate any info.

even if they do bend, you can afford 5 (in general) sets for the price of the wheels they are knocking off.

No fading here, and I live down the street from the ocean. If they do, it's off to the hardware store for a can of flat Krylon or something

Mine were slightly bent out of the box. Nothing a little extra wheel weight can't fix. They haven't faded but sure as hell chip easy. I have the black so mine don't have any clear on them.

One's a little lighter then the other three but I attribute that to leaving the wheel cleaner on to long. The other 3 look like new. I'd still buy more Rotas anyday.

Rota wheels are built in a factory that is ISO 9001 certified. The actual company, Philippine Aluminum Wheels, Inc, has been in the business for over 25 years. I would bet that having to use a little more weight on one wheel had more to do with the quality of the tire than the wheel. Yes, you can bend them. You can bend anything. Not too long ago, there was a thread about bending some SSR's. I never bent my 16"s & I had over 25k street miles on them. I have been tracking/racing on my 15"s for over two years with no problems. (I went off big twice last Sunday @ Thunderhill)

I did manage to bend a couple of them. It was when the car rolled 2 1/2 times. BTW, the car was a total.
