Well i just bought this EE2 last night. It drives ok needs a little work to be perfect. Im not gonna drive it for a while anyway. Its a 89 and its auto

Get a new auto transmission
possibly a new motor since this one has 293k
brakes
front seats
fix rear seat
fix the little rust it has
clean interior

where is the thermostat located?
how do i tell if its bad or not?

 

cool wago. the thermostat is located in the water neck of the bottom rad hose were it connects to the motor. Get a helms manual for your car, it will tell you alot.

 

i think you can check if its bad or not if you boil some water on the stove and put the thermostat in it and if it opens up then its good... as for the location of it if you dont understand what 94dcls said... find the bottom radiator hose and follow it up until you fin where it connects to the motor... it is very easy to take out and replace...

and dude i love the car its pretty beat up but im sure u got a good deal on it wagovans are sick i had a rtawd one but it had too much bondo for me so i traded it for mint crx... but gl on the build hope it comes out great...

well as for doing the boiling and testing if bad or not,you might as well get a new one. it wont hurt spending for new parts that will result positivity by the end of the day goodluck on your project..nice find

yeah man my g/f and i have been looking for one that wasnt over 1500 for like 6 months and she decided to check craigslist to see how it works. her first time she found the wagovan.

 

my hommie out in elsinore is sellin his for $150 it has a blown head gasket and tags expired. he needs it gone cause he moved and its at the old place and THEY want it gone.

but looks like a good prject WAGOVAN. get it like bishimotos wagovans...ooo so sweet

 

wtf man if i had of known that i would have picked that one up since now i gotta swap motors in this one it started to over heat a little bit.

dope.... im a big rhd ef/da/ee nut, have 3 rhd old hondas and this is one ive allways loved but there allmost impossable to find over in japan, daddy likey...... fix it up and keep her clean... A+++++
